Wholesale Gas and Electricity prices continued to rise on Monday, due to weather related factors.
Gas: Prices gained throughout the curve yesterday. Early bullishness eased off as we moved into the afternoon with the grid 12mcm over supplied, around lunchtime.
Power: Power prices rose yesterday tracking NBP movements. Cooler temperatures on the continent also helped pressure the prompt.
Oil: Tensions in the Middle East led to early volatility yesterday with suggestions that Israeli attacks in Lebanon killed 2 people, breaking the peace deal. Tensions also grew in Syria with air strikes launched against insurgents.
Carbon (EU ETS): The ICE Dec-24 closed at €68.83/t yesterday. The contract is trading at €68.23/t this morning.
