Wholesale gas and electricity prices rebalanced on Tuesday, but the good news is the electricity baseload price is £75.50 per MWh and gas is at 79.5p per therm. The spreads are getting narrower, with barely 2% between 1- and 3-year electricity contracts and around 7% between 1- and 3-year gas contracts — in both cases, longer contracts are at lower prices.
